I went to check my eyes with the doctor Dra. Cecilia Rodríguez Luna, especialista en oftalmologaa y estetica ocular.
She asked me to leave the doors open, to leave the fresh air circulating (because of the covid-19 situation). While she was checking my eyes, her previous patient entered the room to give her back the eye drops, she took them and didn't disinfect her hands and continued examining and touching my eyelids.
The attention was very poor, in a second she asked me to sit down on the chair for the eyes check, and only then asked me what is the reason I came. So I started telling about the reason, and she started checking my eyes at the same time. I didn't have time to explain, because she was already looking at my eyes and I couldn't move or speak. When she stopped, I continued explaining what are the symptoms, but again it didn't seem she is listening, she put drops in my eyes and started checking with another equipment. Again I couldn't move or talk. Then she sat down by her table as if she is finished with the examination, and I haven't even told her all my symptoms. Whatever I asked her, her answer was "No, it's all good" "No, you don't have vision problems" "No, you don't need glasses" "No etc"... Although my right eye had worse vision than the left, she still didn't care.
And on the top of that she prescribed me drops for dry eyes, which cost 13Eur "Relive Total Care", which are good, but they are used for patients after eye operations. Although according to her "I don't have problems" ...
I went to the pharmacy and bought more economic version 3.95 Eur, "Oune Gotas Humectantes" , which does the same effect and even more suitable for me, because I work on computer a lot, she also didn't ask me that.
My feeling was that this doctor didn't like that I am a foreigner, although I spoke in Spanish with her. She is just the toy of pharmaceutical companies, oriented to sell more expensive medications, instead of more economical alternatives.
Seemed she is on the rush, I have been in her room about 5-7 minutes. Important to notice that it is a private medical center and I pay for the consultation.
They treated me quite quickly and so far so good, except that the Dr gives me a flyer for a 6 hour fasting test and at the clinic (Santa Catalina) they tell me that with that flyer they don't know what the Dr wants. I call the center doctor and I'm still waiting for a response. I do not think I'll come back
I made an appointment in Urology. To my surprise, the doctor gave me an echo with an empty bladder (it must be done with a full bladder), and he measured my prostate by eye with a size of more than 120 cc, immediately recommending a prostate operation with no option.
I requested a second opinion, from another urologist at another center, who advised me on other alternatives before operating... I am currently urinating without a catheter, and he correctly measured my prostate at 73 cc. I may have to have surgery, but first you have allowed me to explore other options, very kindly and at a really affordable price. Excellent.
TERRIBLE. Look, it's strange that I bother writing a bad opinion about somewhere, but this clinic deserves it. They gave me an appointment time earlier because it was convenient for them and then they kept me waiting 45 minutes. On top of that, due to the accumulation of patients, the care I received was fast and with the right service to get by with my need. Anyway, if you can and want to make an appointment at any other clinic before this one.
